The system has air guide channels in the passenger cabin floor (2). The channels are partially formed by hollow chambers (6) on the underside (4) of a floor covering (3) having a carpet on the top side (5). The chambers are formed on and extend along a tunnel (8) between driver and passenger sides. They are connected to a fresh air intake of a rear cabin air conditioner, and to a fresh air outlet of a front cabin air conditioner, via plug connectors passing through apertures in the floor covering.
