A wall is built up by placing pervious racks dry concrete mix 10 on a foundation beam 24 and then pouring water on top of the racks and allowing the concrete to set. The racks are interconnected by H-section metal ties and reinforcement rods project from the beam into the bottom layer. Bolts may be inserted in the top course of racks for attaching a top plate and roof joists. Window and door frames and horizontal reinforcement rods may be included in the wall. A concrete floor is cast between the walls. Finish layers 30 of concrete or plaster possibly incorporating reinforcement or services are applied to outer and inner surfaces. |
