<p>The invention relates to a method of etching crystal sheet glass. The inventive method comprises the following steps: the glass is positioned horizontally; said glass is washed with distilled water, brushed and, subsequently, dried using pressurised air jets; an acid-resistant, adhesive, plastic sheet is applied to the lower face of the glass; an adhesive tape is applied to the edges of the glass such that the tape projects upwards from the sides of the surface of the upper face, said tape being used to fix the aforementioned plastic sheet; an acid bath is applied to the upper face of the glass in cascade and/or curtain form in such a way that the acid is contained on the upper face of the glass by means of the upwardly-projecting edges of the adhesive tape, and said acid is left to etch the glass for a pre-determined period of time; the excess acid is drained off; the glass is pre-washed, washed with water, brushed and, subsequently, dried using pressurised air jets. The result is then visually inspected.</p> |
