A silicon-free hair washing agent with conditioning properties contains (wt.%) an anionic, nonionic, amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant (A; 3-40), a cationic polymer of average mol. wt. 5000-1000000 (B; 0.02-5), a pre-dispersed wax dispersion with particles of average size 0.1-4 microns and of wax content 10-40% (C; 0.5-10), and water (20-90). An Independent claim is also included for production of the agent by mixing the components at below 40 deg C, the components comprising (wt.%) anionic, nonionic, amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant (A; 3-40), a cationic polymer of average mol. wt. 5000-1000000 (B; 0.02-5), a predispersed wax dispersion with particles of average size 0.1-4 microns and of wax content 10-40% (C; 0.5-10), and water (20-90).
