There is disclosed a fabric comprising: (a) a first yarn which comprises a friction reducing substance; and (b) a second yarn, wherein more of the first yarn is present on one surface of the fabric than on the other surface of the fabric, and wherein the first yarn comprises a core thread surrounded by a thread comprising the friction reducing substance. The fabric has particular use in timing or synchronous belts in automotive or other industrial applications. Also disclosed is a yarn comprising a core thread surrounded by a thread comprising a friction reducing substance. |
