The machine has a machine frame (16), a ram (13), a mould (9) and a workpiece holder (15). The mould is mounted in a frame (8) movably guided in the machine frame with respect to. the workpiece holder by a control plate (5). The ram is connected to an eccentric shaft (4) rotatably mounted in the mould frame and directly connected to the control plate and a drive shaft (3). An Independent claim is also included for the use of a machine for processing hollow cylindrical workpieces.
