PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for inserting an absorber are provided to improve an assembling work of an article by simply inserting the absorber without making contact with an inner wall of a vessel. CONSTITUTION: An absorber inserting apparatus includes a compressing device(60) formed at a lower surface thereof with a compressing pin(61). A working table is provided to convey an ink absorber and an ink tank through a lower portion of the compressing device(60). The compressing device(60) is moved up and down by means of a first driving section. A second driving section transversely moves the compressing device(60). A third driving section is provided to moves the compressing device(60) in a predetermined direction, which is vertical to a driving direction of the second driving section.
