Method and device for determining the relative position of two vehicle parts

The method involves determining the course of magnetic field lines using a magnetic field sensor (7), whereby a magnetic seal (4) produces a different course of magnetic lines when the parts (1,2) are correctly positioned from that when they are not. The sensor is directed at the desired seal positions for when the parts are correctly positioned. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for determining the relative positions of two vehicle parts.
