The structural group comprises an anchor plate (10) and shaft (12, 14) where the shaft has an assembly head (20) which fits in and is welded in an indentation provided in the anchor plate. The indentation can have a flat base whilst the assembly head has a flat end face or can have a concave base when the assembly head has a convex end face. Independent claim describes method for making structural group by providing indentation and assembly head and welding same.
