<p>The present application relates to user selectable quality of service in packet data systems. The present invention relates in particular to a subscriber device which enables user selection of quality of service. A plurality of quality of service parameter profiles (10, 12, 14, 16) are provided and the user is able to select a quality of service parameter profile for use in negotiating a quality of service for a wireless communication.
