PURPOSE: A method for carrying out washing stroke of a washing machine is provided to carry out the optimum washing operation after setting water levels for dissolving detergent and carrying out washing stroke according to the volume of clothing and the entire washing operation time, thereby improving the washing efficiency through an optimum washing algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A method for carrying out washing stroke of a washing machine includes the steps of setting a water level for carrying out washing stroke according to the volume of clothing in a washing tub sensed by rotating the washing tub and a pulsator integrally(S2), supplying water up to a water level for detergent dissolution via a water supply valve while rotating the washing tub and the pulsator at a same speed in the same direction(S3,S4), rotating the washing tub and the pulsator right and left alternately for a predetermined time for the sufficient dissolution of detergent(S6,S7), stopping a motor which drives the pulsator and supplying water up to the washing water level set in the first step(S8,S9), and driving the pulsator right and left alternately at the washing water level for carrying out the washing stroke(S11). The detergent dissolution water level is lower than the washing water level. |
