PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing body for a cap being excellent in the property being pierced with a piercing tool and capable of maintaining excellent retentivity and sealability against the piercing tool even when pierced, while using the sizes of conventional caps and sealing bodies; a cap for a medicine container using such a sealing body; and a medicine container. SOLUTION: The sealing body 10 includes an approximately cylindrical rigid retaining body 11 and disc-shaped piercing elastic body 14 mounted in the rigid retaining body 11 and closing a cavity 12. On the piercing surface of a piercing needle, the outside diameter Wo of the piercing elastic body 14 is 60% or less of the outside diameter Wg of the rigid retaining body 11. The sealing body 10 is used as it is mounted inside an approximately cylindrical outer cap connected to the mouth of the medicine container.
