PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply the power source of a tip dresser to shape a welding tip from a welding power source, to control the tip dresser by a control means for a welding machine, and to provide optimum cutting of the welding tip based on a worn state of the welding tip. SOLUTION: The welding current is supplied from the welding power source to a drive motor 2 by providing a terminal 14 to which the welding current is supplied by the welding tips 7 and 8 inside the tip dresser 1. A cutting blade 6 is controlled by the control means for the welding machine by homologizing the control of the blade 6 of the tip dresser 1 to control parameters of the welding current of the control means for the welding machine. In addition, optimum cutting is provided by the worn state of the welding tips 7 and 8 obtained by the control means for the welding machine.
