PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for a coating applicater head capable of positioning the head on a trestle with good accuracy and suppressing the lowering in accuracy due to the heat generated during application. SOLUTION: An extrusion type coating applicator 10 has the head 12 touching 12 to reference planes 32 and 34 of the trestle 14. The head 12 is fixed by pressing to the reference plane 32 by a member 40 of a press section 38 where the head faces the reference plane 32. Grooves 36 are formed on this reference plane 32 so that the heat can be radiated from the grooves 36.
