The support (4) is attached to at least one lockable positioning rod (6) that can be pushed down into holes (15) in the top of the seat, enabling the support to be mounted on the seat backrest. An upholstered part or cushion (1) is placed over the support. At least one tough, high strength belt with holes (8) in it and pieces of hook or loop fastener material (7) at one end, is joined to the upholstered part or cushion and can be held around the height-adjustable position rod in order to stabilise the position of the part or cushion relative to the support. Upholstered parts or cushions with the above belts attached to them are also claimed.
