PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a lithographic printing plate with plate wearability. SOLUTION: The lithographic printing plate making method consists of a process for cross-linking a hydrophobic polymer by imagingly heating an original lithographic printing plate having an image forming layer including the hydrophobic polymer with an o-quinodimethane structure or its precursor structure provided on a hydrophilic support and a process for removing the image forming layer belonging to a non-heating portion.
