PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-functional member in which a fine particle adsorption layer excellent in durability with fine functional particles firmly adsorbed in a single layer or in a laminated state on the surface is provided, and the effect of the adsorbed functional particles endures. SOLUTION: On a support containing graft polymer chains having polar groups, the fine adsorption layer on which the fine particles having a physical property to be bonded to the polar groups is formed. As the polar group, an ionic group is preferable. The graft polymer chain having the polar groups is preferably introduced onto the surface of the support by graft polymerization.
