<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a titanium golf club provided with a hitting surface without containing oxygen stabilizedα-phase titanium and capable of finely adjusting the relation between a position of the center tof he mass of the golf club as a finished product and the pole moment of inertia as a result. SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing a golf club head 10 has a step for forming a main body part 12 of the golf club head 10 by casting the molten material selected from a group of titanium and a titanium alloy with a die and solidifying the molten material. The solidified main body part 12 has a face part provided with a front surface wall 18 and a rear surface, and the face part has theαphase and a basic material under theαphase. This manufacturing method also has a step for eliminating theαphase from the main body part 12 by performing a conformal working process for selectively eliminating theαphase to the main body part 12 to eliminate a sufficient quantity of theαphase from the face part in order to expose the basic material under theαphase.</p> |
