PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an diaper exchange time detecting sensor which correctly detects a diaper exchange time. SOLUTION: The detecting sensor 2 for detecting urination in a diaper includes a base material 4 formed in a belt shape with polyethylene telephtarate, a pair of electrodes 6 and 8 formed by printing on the base material 4 a silver paste of 10<-3> to 10<-4>Ω/cm volume resistivity and a cover part 10 obtained by covering the surfaces of the electrodes 6 and 8 with a conducive silicone of 15Ω/cm volume resistivity. A diaper wet state is grasped by measuring electric conductivity between the electrodes 6 and 8. The detecting sensor 2 suppresses the change of the electric conductivity between the electrodes 6 and 8 owing to an individual difference in urine by largely setting the specific resistance of the cover part 10, obtains the change of the electric conductivity between the electrodes 6 and 8 correspondingly to a wet area in the diaper, and thus, correctly detects the diaper exchange time.
