PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball manufacturing method restricted in the generation of partial thickness in an intermediate layer 5. SOLUTION: A golf ball 1 is provided with a core 1 and a cover 3. The core 2 is formed of two layers of a center 4 and the intermediate layer 5. The intermediate layer 5 is formed by coating the center 4 with two half shells made of a rubber composition, and pressurizing and heating the center 4 and the half shells in a mold. In the rubber composition, particular solid material is distributed. A ratio D/T of particle size D of the particular solid material in relation to the intermediate layer thickness T is set >=0.3. When molding, movement of the center 4 close to a cavity surface is hindered by the particular solid material. With this structure, deflection of the thickness of the intermediate layer 5 is restricted. A ratio W/T of the radial directional width W of the particular solid material in relation to the intermediate layer thickness T is set to 0.3-1.0. |
