PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst to which moisture can uniformly be added and through the layer of which exhaust gas passes in a small pressure drop and without flow obstruction. SOLUTION: A lower edge part 23 is formed on a plate-like activated carbon fiber sheet 21 having an activated carbon fiber layer constituting the catalyst, and a sawtoothed undulating edge 24 is formed on the part 23 in the width direction of the sheet 21 so that the height of the width direction is made discontinuous, and a film of water is not formed in the position of a passage 15 of the exhaust gas. Even when the film of water is formed on the part 23, the film of water is broken up by the edge 24 into waterdrops, which are then made to drop from many lower positions of the edge 24 uniformly. As a result, the objective catalyst can be obtained. |
