PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartilage implant providing good biocompatibility and excellent restorability. SOLUTION: The cartilage implant is for implanting into a defect in cartilage. Gelled cartilage cells or marrow cells embedded in solubilized atelocollagen are integrated with a β-tricalcium phosphate porous body serving as a portion to be embedded into a bone during implantation, in such a way that the cells become a portion corresponding to the defect in cartilage during implantation. Using this system, the cartilage cells or marrow cells are cultured. |
