<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quality improving system for purifying raw water by making a cleaning material directly contact the raw water by suspending a purifying apparatus in which the purifying material is housed in the raw water in order to use the functions of an ecological system such as an existing river, a pond, a lake, to use them as a purifying apparatus. SOLUTION: A water quality improving apparatus in which a buoyancy body is fixed to a structure housing the cleaning material is suspended in the raw water. The water quality improving system for improving water quality while creating a synergistic effect with the functions of the ecological system of the pond, or the like, by making the purifying material contact the raw water is constituted. A windmill is fitted to the water quality improving system in the shape of a floating island to supply air and to form a water flow so that oxygen can be supplied to the raw water lacking oxygen due to eutrophication. Plants such as water weeds, algae, and peat-moss are inhabited to make the roots of the plants contact the raw water. Nitrogen, nitrogen compounds, phosphoric acid, potassium, or the like, are absorbed by the plants as nutrients to accelerate the purification of the raw water.</p> |
