PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a roll sheet being wasted at the time of interrupting record execution control in the way of recording when recording is executed on a roll sheet by means of an ink jet recorder. SOLUTION: Recording operation is executed (step S1) on a roll sheet P being fed, and a decision is made whether a record interruption control is requested or not in the way of recording (step S2). If it is not requested (No at step S2), a decision is made whether recording has ended or not (step S3) and if recording has not yet ended (No at step S3), recording operation is executed. If recording has ended (Yes at step S3), the roll sheet P is cut at a specified cutting position. If record interruption control is requested in the way of recording (Yes at step S2), the roll sheet P is carried up to the record end position in the way of recording (step S7) and the roll sheet P is cut at the record end position in the way of recording.
