<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for vehicle which can give favorable lighting for safe driving of a vehicle by automatically controlling an appropriate lighting range corresponding to steering operation of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This lighting device for vehicle which changes the lighting range of a lamp L lighting the front of a vehicle corresponding to the steering angle of the vehicle is provided with a lighting range control means for directing the lighting range opposite to the current steering direction when the steering returns to the advance direction. When the steering angular velocity is larger than a predetermined value, the lighting range for lighting the opposite side is enlarged according to the return of the steering to the advance direction. In driving on a S-shaped road or an intersection where right and left turns succeed, the next curve or intersection can be lighted prior to the steering operation, which is very effective in securing safe driving of the vehicle driving on a curved road or an intersection.</p> |
