PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type garbage disposal device which measures the weights of garbage before and after drying treatment by a weight sensor, and displays the weight loss of the garbage calculated from these weights, and the like, on a display part. SOLUTION: This dry type garbage disposal device measures the weights of garbage 5 and is provided with the weight sensor 6 disposed on the bottom of a device body 1, in which a treatment container 4 of the garbage 5 is set, a control part 8 which stores weight W1 of the garbage 5 measured by the weight sensor 6 before the drying treatment and weight W2 of the garbage measured after the drying treatment, and after the drying treatment, obtains weight W lost from the garbage 5 by the drying treatment from the weight W1 and the weight W2 to store the weight W, and the display part 9 for displaying the weight W stored in the control part 8. The total weight Wt of the weights W lost from the garbage 5 is calculated, and the weight Wt is displayed on the display part 9.
