PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opening and closing mechanism of a game machine in which the maintenance characteristics of an opening and closing member attached to the main body so as to freely swing, open and close are improved. SOLUTION: An upper ball tray 6 is supported so as to freely swing, open and close by using an intermediate hinge fitting 41 and a lower hinge fitting 42 provided in the left side part of a front frame 2. In a bearing part 62 provided in the upper ball tray 6, a support shaft 70 capable of engaging with and disengaging from the lower hinge fitting 42 is supported so as to freely slide vertically. A support rod part 72 formed on the upper part of the support shaft is engaged with a shaft holding part formed on the upper ball tray 6 and held at an engaging position. To the front frame 2 and the upper ball tray 6, a first support fitting 111 and a second support fitting 112 are attached. When an opening and holding fitting 113 having support holes capable of engaging with respective support pins 111a and 112a is engaged therewith, the upper ball tray 6 is opened and held at its opening position.
