The invention relates to a dosing hopper for producing boards consisting of derived timber products. Said hopper comprises a feeding device (2) which continuously distributes the supplied material flow of glued wood particles over the width of the hopper (1). The dosing hopper is characterised in that it is provided for flat, elongated wood chips (strands) for producing orient ed structural chip boards (OSB, LSL). To this end, the feeding device (2) is embodied in such a way that it contains a weighing device (23) by which mean s the wood chips (strands) are dosed according to weight and can be distribute d over the entire width of the hopper in an oriented manner.
