PURPOSE: A locking device of a rear gate for a truck is provided to offer the convenience and to reduce noise by easily locking the rear gate in a one-touch method. CONSTITUTION: An inserting rod(4') is protruded in a rear gate. An inserting groove(3') is formed in a side gate(3) corresponding to the inserting rod to be inserted the inserting rod. An operating member(10) comprises a first rod(10a) to be protruded in the inserting groove toward the moving direction of the inserting rod, a second rod(10b) to hang the inserting rod by integrally interlocking with the first rod and a hanging groove(11). The operating member is rotated through a hinge(h). An operating member spring(20) offers power to protrude the first rod inward the inserting groove and to separate the second rod from the inserting groove. A hanging member(30) is slid upward and downward by hanging in the hanging groove. A releasing device(40) separates the hanging member from the hanging groove. Thereby, the rear gate is locked or released in a one-touch method.
