RECEIVING DEVICE OF OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM WHERE POWER OF SIGNAL CONVERTER IS INDEPENDENT FROM POWER OF ENTIRE RECEIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A receiving device of an optical transmission system where power of a signal converter is independent from power of the entire receiving device is provided to supply another power to an optical/electric signal converter having small impedance, in order to improve optical receiving sensitivity, thereby extending an optical relaying distance. CONSTITUTION: An optical/electric signal converter(15) converts an optical signal inputted from outside into an electric signal, and outputs the electric signal. A receiving function performer(17) inputs the converted electric signal, and performs a receiving function corresponding to the electric signal. The first power supplier(30) supplies power to the receiving function performer(17). The second power supplier(31) independently separates power from the first power supplier(30) in the optical/electric signal converter(15), and supplies the separated power. A preliminary amplifier preliminarily amplifies the electric signal before amplifying the electric signal having a weak output in the receiving function performer(17).
