The invention relates to an improved method for producing a dielectric barri er flat panel discharge lamp. During the filling step of the discharge vessel, a plate (3) of the discharge vessel is propped up on parts (15) of support elements (1, 2) that soften later on so that they sink onto the other plate (4) at a predetermined temperature. The support elements (1, 2, 15) further serve to improve the mechanical stability of the finished flat panel lamp. According to the invention, only a small number of the support elements (1, 2, 15), which are present in a higher number, are used for holding the plate (3 ) up as described. |
