PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a functional high molecular foam resin composite having improved mechanical/physical properties such as compression resistance, tensile resistance, flexural resistance, weatherability and moisture resistance, as well as fireproofing property, with retaining an adiabatic effect. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (i) mixing organic high molecular foam resins and inorganic fillers and foaming the mixture, (ii) coating the foam resins with mineral fillers. The organic high molecular foam resins are soft or hard polyurethane, phenol, polyvinyl chloride and polystyrene, and so on. The mineral fillers are liquefied sodium silicate(Na2O·SiO2·xH2O), sodium aluminate(Na2O·Al2O3· xH2O), lithium polysilicate(Li2O·nSiO2·xH2O), silica sol(nSiO2·xH2O, colloid type), and aqueous solution of composite magnesium/aluminum sodium sulfonate(Na2O· Mg/Al-SO4·xH2O), or mixture thereof. A mixing ratio of the mineral fillers is 5-30 wt% with respect to that of the respect high molecular foam resins.
