PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the image processing time as short as possible when an image having high image quality or video effect is generated by synthesizing two images picked up continuously. SOLUTION: When imaging is designated from an operating section 107 in a mode for regulating blur, a general control section 108 performs exposure of a CCD 102 two times continuously after changing the focus position and takes in two main images having different pint. During these exposure operations, exposure of the CCD 102 is performed twice continuously in draft mode and an image (decimated image) for operating the positional shift between both main images is taken in. Positional shift is then operated using two decimated images, both main images are aligned using the operated positional shift and then the data at the corresponding pixel position of both images are synthesized to generate an image where blur is regulated. Since positional shift is calculated using a decimated image, the time required for aligning the main images can be shortened. |
