PURPOSE: A locking device of a rear gate for a truck is provided to offer the convenience and to reduce noise by easily locking the rear gate in a one-touch method. CONSTITUTION: An inserting rod(4a) is arranged in a rear gate(4). An inserting groove(3a) is formed in a side gate(3) corresponding to the inserting rods for inserting the inserting rod into the side gate. A first latch portion(10) is arranged to hang the inserting rod into the side gate for preventing the separation of the inserting rod from the inserting groove. A second latch portion(20) is interlocked with the first latch portion through a connecting device and installed in one side of the side gate. An operating portion offers power to the first latch portion by connecting with the first latch portion through a connecting device. Thereby, the rear gate is locked or released in a one-touch method.
