PURPOSE: An electrophoresis display is provided to supply excellent color addressability, a high contrast ratio, and a quick switching speed by arranging cells having a well-defined shape and size and an aspect ratio. CONSTITUTION: An electrophoresis display is composed of upper and lower electrode plates(10,11) of which at least one is transparent and a plurality of cells(12) filled between the two electrodes. Each of cells comprises partitions surrounding the cells; an electrophoresis composition filled in the cell; and a polymer sealing layer made from a sealing composition having specific gravity lower than the electrophoresis composition to fill the electrophoresis composition in the cell and attached to the surfaces of the partitions to seal the partitions. The cell with a uniform size and shape is filled with charge pigment particles dispersed in a solvent. |
