PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card suitably used for formation of an image using a thermal transfer printer, provided with excellent quality and preservability of the image, and prevented from forgery and alteration. SOLUTION: This IC card 20 is provided with a card type lamination body 5, which is constructed of a front face base material 1 and a back face base material 2 each principally consisting of a polyester resin and an IC module 4, and a transparent resin sheet 6 principally consisting of a polyester resin with a softening point of 50-140 deg.C and having a reverse visible image formed on at least its one face, and the transparent resin sheet 6 is layered on the surface of the card type lamination body 5 while having the reverse visible image formation face inside. The transparent resin sheet 6 is bonded to the card type lamination body 5 by thermo-compression bonding. In a part or the whole of one face in the transparent resin sheet 6, a dye receiving layer 9 is formed. The polyester resin forming the transparent resin sheet 6 contains 5 mole% or more of a cyclohexane dimethanol residue. In the transparent resin sheet 6, the transmittance to visible light with a wavelength of 400-750 nm is 75% or more. |
