PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-manufacture/assemble heat pipe type heat sink exhibiting excellent heat dissipation characteristics. SOLUTION: The heat pipe type heat sink is provided with a large number of planar fins 6 and 8 provided on the outer circumferential surface of heat pipes 11 to project in the radial direction. The fins 6 and 8 are provided integrally on the inner surface of at least any one of a pair of side plate members 4 and 5 constituting a housing when they are bonded oppositely.
