PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed a developer without excessively retaining the developer between a feed roller and a developing roller. SOLUTION: The developing device is provided with a developing roller 27 which feeds the developer to a photoreceptor belt 2 in contact with the photoreceptor belt 2 and rotating from the bottom of a contact part toward an upper part, a feed roller 26 which feeds toner to the developing roller 27 in contact with the developing roller 27 and rotating in the same direction as that of the developing roller 27, transport blades 23a to 23d which transport the toner to the feed roller 26, a retainer member 30 which is provided at the lower part of the feed roller 26 apart from the developing roller 27, retains the developer transported by the transporting blades 23a to 23d and feeds the retained developer to the developing roller 27 by using the feed roller 26, and a thickness regulation blade 28 which regulates the thickness of the developer fed to the developing roller 27. |
