PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which is capable of recovering from a malfunction state by a reset operation which can be easily carried out when it starts malfunctioning. SOLUTION: When a user carries out a desired control through an input key group 5 as waiting contents, or talking over a mobile terminal, or keeping a packet communication; a corresponding control is carried out through a control unit 2. Desired contents are provided through a display unit 3 or a speech processing unit 7 if necessary. AT this point, when an operation is not normally carried out by the control unit 2, a reset switch 6 is pressed down, by which an abnormal state is cleared up, and the control unit 2 is restarted. By this setup, contents which are inputted into the control unit 2 from a radio transmission/reception circuit unit 1 are made to get back again into a waiting state. Therefore, the mobile terminal can recover from an abnormal state by a simple operation made by an user.
