PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element with reduced brightness degradation when luminescence is outputted from a cathode side. SOLUTION: In the organic electroluminescent element in which at least an anode 4, an anode buffer layer 5 are laminated sequentially on a substrate 1, and provided with an element part 10 laminating sequentially a hole carrier layer 6, an electron carrier luminescent layer 7 and a cathode 9 at the center part on the anode buffer layer 5, and a protecting cap 12 bonded on the anode buffer layer 5 of the element part 10, with nitrogen sealed in the protecting cap 12, the anode buffer layer 5 consists of CuPc, and its thickness is from 5 to 20 nm. |
