PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor correcting the color of a color image. SOLUTION: The color image comprises at least two sets, i.e., image pixels having different color values and brightness values. About each the color value, a monochromatic image of a low-spatial frequency comprising a set of smoothed image pixels is generated on the basis of calculation of a color correction function. In one embodiment, subsets of the smoothed image pixels are selected, the color correction function is applied to the respective subsets, and the subset of corresponding correction smoothed image pixels is generated. The correction includes contribution from the corresponding smoothed image pixels in one or more other sets of the smoothed image pixels. The subset of the correction smoothed image pixels is interpolated and/or extrapolated to be finished. The respective sets of the correction smoothed image pixels are used to generate a corrected color image. |
