PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate strict management of the dimensional tolerance and assembling error of a component part which cause a gapδwithout depending upon the gapδbetween a platform 1 and a base 2 and to stably read and write data from/to a magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: A magnetic recorder is provided with a means for pressing the platform 1 with a magnetic head assembly 6 mounted thereon in the moving direction of a plunger 9b of a plunger type solenoid 9 to position the platform 1.
