PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deciding an appropriate control action to stabilize a control object, particularly for deciding a derivative action. SOLUTION: A PID control device based on the present invention has a derivative gain for a derivative action to control an object being controlled, which is set based on a decision factorα(α=a2 <2> /(a3 .a1 ), where a1 is a first-order coefficient of denominator polynomial for a transfer function being identified for the said object being controlled based on a transfer function model for more than the third-order, a2 is the second-order coefficient, and a3 is the third- order coefficient).
