PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to freely set and change setting parameters for pattern matching. SOLUTION: An image detection circuit for performing pattern matching that uses pyramidal structure search is provided with an input image storing part 1 for inputting image data from an outside and holding the image data, a pattern image storing part 2 for storing a pattern image to be searched, an image processing part 3 connected to the input image storing part 1 and the pattern image storing part 2 and for reading respective image data and performing pattern matching, a controlling part 4 for operating a candidate for a setting parameter needed to perform pyramidal structure search with the image processing part 3, a displaying part 5 for displaying in a list a candidate group for setting parameters operated by the controlling part 4, and an inputting part 6 capable of changing values of a setting parameter on the basis of the setting parameter candidate group displayed in the displaying part 5.
