PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air-cooled fully-enclosed rotating electric machine which can eliminate ozone and nitric acid gas generated in the machine by a discharge of a stator winding, etc., without deteriorating the cooling effect. SOLUTION: This air-cooled fully-enclosed rotating electric machine has a stator 1 having a stator core 2 on which stator windings 4 are wound, a frame 15 surrounding the stator 1, a rotor 5 having a rotor core 6 which faces the stator core 2 with a gap 11, fans 9 and 10 circulating cooling air for cooling the stator 1 and the rotor 5 in the frame 15, and a filter 25 having an eliminating agent layer 27 which is provided in a passage of the cooling air and eliminates ozone and nitric acid gas generated in the frame.
