Displacement of the bolt (3) is controlled by rotation of a pivoting component (7) operated by a solenoid (5) of an electro-magnet (4). Between the component (7) and the solenoid is a part which allows the component (7) to pivot independently of the position of the solenoid. The solenoid is directly connected to an arm of the lock control by a spring (11) which stretches when a force is applied greater than that normally necessary to rotate the part (7). i The lock includes a plate (12) designed for mechanical locks which slides counter to a reset spring action and by key insertion and or operation of door handle so as to pivot the part (7).
