PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for troublesome settings when picked up image data stored in an information processing apparatus are stored in a removable recording medium and to suppress cost. SOLUTION: An electronic camera 100 transmits picked up image data, a print instruction and a backup condition of the picked up image data to an image gateway 400. The image gateway 400 stores the picked up image data received from the electronic camera 100 to a memory and transfers the picked up image data stored in the memory to a print service 800 according to the received print instruction. Then the image gateway 400 backs up the image data stored in the memory according to the received backup condition when the imaging data stored in the memory reaches a data quantity corresponding to the recording capacity of the CD-R 900.
