PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of decreasing a switching time of a service ID more at digital broadcast reception. SOLUTION: A PMT (Program Map Table) exclusive memory buffer 161 for storing a TS (Transport Stream) packet of a designated PMT is independently provided to a PSI (Program Specific Information) processing section 101 in addition to a PSI memory buffer 151a, a demultiplexing section 71 demultiplexes a TS packet of the PMT corresponding to a designated service ID and allows the PMT exclusive memory buffer 161 to store the packet so as to reduce a time required to acquire the TS packet of the PMT corresponding to the service ID thereby much more decreasing a switching time of the service ID.
