PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus adopting a power supply superimposing system that can prevent a voltage drop through a transmission line supplying power and enhance the handling in the wiring work. SOLUTION: A video camera 1 and a video reception section 2 are interconnected by a transmission cable 8 for transmitting a video signal or an audio signal and power from a DC power supply 3. The transmission cable 8 has two sets of twisted pairs 8a, 8b, the power of power supply is transmitted between the two sets of twisted pairs 8a, 8b and one set 8a in the two sets of twisted pairs 8a, 8b transmits the video signal or the audio signal superimposed on the power.
