PURPOSE: A device of compensating temperature for an optical repeater is provided to control an output of a child station in a repeater mother station according to temperature of a child equipment of a repeater child station, thereby exactly controlling an output of a repeater. CONSTITUTION: An optical repeater mother station comprises as follows. The first controller(201) generates a control signal based on a temperature sensing signal inputted through an optical cable. The first modem(202) supplies the temperature sensing signal to the first controller(201), and transmits the control signal to an optical repeater child station through the optical cable. The optical repeater child station comprises as follows. A temperature sensor(153) detects temperature in an output port of a linear amplifier, and generates the temperature sensing signal corresponding to the detected temperature. The second controller(152) controls amplifying rates of preamplifier/attenuator of the optical repeater child station according to the control signal. The second modem(151) transmits the temperature sensing signal to the optical repeater mother station, and supplies the control signal to the second controller(152).
